Disaster Solutions is Making a Difference by Collecting Data on Gulf Oil Spill Impact
Disaster Solutions has been working with local Parishes near New Orleans, Louisiana that have been highly impacted by the Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Disaster Solutions, alongside government officials has helped setup a Pathfinder Task Force that employ local people to go out into the coastal regions and report on urgent issues related to the oil contamination. By utilizing Disaster Solutions cutting edge cell phone technology, these officials have the means to gather accurate data and to assess the recovery response for their region. Disaster Solutions GPS location and reporting features, give local government the ability to more efficiently coordinate recovery efforts and deal with the wide spread impacts of the Gulf Oil Spill.
The Pathfinder Task Force, armed with Disaster Solutions cell phone technology has been instrumental in helping geo-locate trouble spots in the areas hardest hit. Pathfinder Task Force teams are on the front lines of the Louisiana coast collecting large amounts of data that continuously feed into the command center setup by Parish officials. Disaster Solutions will contine to work with Orleans Parish, Tammany Parish, and St. Bernard Parish as well as with representatives from BP Oil to try to setup a broad network of local responders to this environmental disaster. With the Disaster Solutions cell phone software and hardware, local citizens will become the eyes and ears for officials in charge of recovery efforts.
